Origin Story

Brandi Cumberbatch Founder and CEO of Bee’s Body by Brandi was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a child she was fascinated with fashion, styling, and beauty. She found herself creating innovative ideas and projects for herself as well as family and friends. As she grew, she merged her love for beauty with her entrepreneurial spirit and Bee’s Body by Brandi was created.
In 2014 Brandi became dissatisfied with how her skin was responding to the beauty products in the market. They were slimy, thin and didn’t keep her skin moisturized and smelling good around the clock. Brandi soon learned that so many other people felt this way and decided to do something about it one day. Time elapsed and mother’s day was approaching and Brandi wanted to give her mother a meaningful gift that would allow her to feel pampered around the clock. With her mother as her inspiration Brandi then crafted her first batch of Shea Body Butter and took it with her on vacation. Brandi quickly realized that it provided a beautiful glow and that her skin felt amazing! Upon her return Brandi gifted her mother with the most meaningful gift that anyone can receive, one from the heart. By successfully addressing her skin issues Brandi independently designed, developed and extended the body butter line to friends and family, and the response was amazing. After many requests for the original line the skin category now includes Shea, Berry, Almond and Hazelnut Body Butter. Later it was extended to include home and room sprays and mists.

In 2015 Brandi was faced with an acne problem, so she decided to explore options to revolutionize and revitalized a skin care line that would not irritate and dry her skin. With the obvious benefit of using natural components in her body butter line it was evident what the key ingredient would be. Enriched with all natural ingredients Brandi ultimately created a solution to reduce her acne.

For Brandi the solution was simple, create a meaningful gift, a meaningful product and a meaningful brand.
